Aatxe is one of the refugees found inside the refuge in Stratopolis. He originally came there as captain of the crashed Tarkington, and since then has spent eighteen years in the captivity of the Changelings. He is distinguished as being one of the few willing to show compassion to the changeling captive.
In Urohringr ch.89, he was fatally wounded by the Smooze, and spent his last moments fighting off the tide using a crate of grenades while the rest of the survivors made their way to the Tarkington to escape.
